In response to issues of young people and alcohol and other drugs, The Alcohol & Drug Abuse Council has designed a program in cooperation with the Contra Costa County Courts. The intent of this program is to educate young people about the effects of alcohol and other drugs on themselves, their families, and the community. The course is designed to improve young people's knowledge and attitudes about alcohol and other drugs use and help them plan their behavior to reduce further alcohol and other drug related problems.

Session are held on two consecutive Saturdays each month

1st Session9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
2nd Session9:00 AM to 4:00 PM



Education and Group Discussion
Each participant will complete twelve (12) hours of education and group discussion which are designed to provide information on the legal, social, and physical aspect of alcohol and drug use relates to the participant's life style, to discuss their own behavior and attitudes, to support and encourage positive changes in each others' lifestyle to facilitate resolution of problems related to the use of alcohol and other drugs.

Substance abuse assessment
Participants who were under 18 years old at the time of the violation may be required to complete a substance abuse assessment prior to receiving their completion from the program. If you are required to complete an assessment please call 925-932-8100 ext 14 to schedule an appointment.
